NOTE: Beginning in mid-1992 Mercury marine, who had acquired Force by then, began using
Mercury-style serial numbers for identification, beginning with serial number E000000. These engines
were produced with Mercury lower units in the beginning, gradually becoming mostly
Mercury motors with Force powerheads by the time they were discontinued for the 1996 model year.
